 July 2024 Newsletter

Greetings from STILL WATERS FARM AND GARDENS!

Hard to believe that we are half way through 2024!  Spring activities on the farm included harvesting, watering, weeding, planting Dahlias, sowing Summer annuals, a photo shoot and a Workshop on the Farm. The Dahlia planting, usually one of our more time-consuming activities, took much less time this year (just one day for planting) with the help of much appreciated friends. Our first Workshop on the Farm was a joy filled experience and we are looking forward to planning more workshops! As we move into Summer, we are enjoying the beauty of Dahlias, Zinnias, Cosmos, Sunflowers, Lisianthus and other Summer annuals like Celosia, Amaranth and Gomphrena.  Also, we are preparing for our annual honey harvest in July.  We hope you enjoy reading more about these activities and other happenings on farm.

Photo Shoot πŸ“Έ

In late April, we had a Photo Shoot by Heather Payne Photography highlighting the flowers of the Spring Season. She captured the beauty in the fields and tunnels as well as a few of our custom floral designs. Some of the flowers she photographed included Orlaya, Sweet Peas, Forget Me Nots, Tulips, Daffodils, and Peony’s. She also photographed a Seasonal Bouquet, Magnolia Vase Arrangement and Bridal Bouquet.

Our First Workshop on the Farm

In late Spring, we hosted our first Workshop on the Farm!🀍🌸🌿 We began with a tour of the Farm followed by bouquet making. Highlights from the tour included the blueberry and blackberry area, curly willow, tunnels, pussy willow, eucalyptus, peonies, perennials, and hardy/summer annuals. After the tour, the ladies made their own beautiful bouquets πŸ’ and arrangements. It was a delightful time!  If you are interested in attending a future Workshop, we will be sending out updates through our social media pages.
